This month marks the 47th year anniversary of Black History Month. In keeping with tradition, I’d like to share this chronicled fast fact :
In the Civil War, approximately 200,000 Black Soldiers served honorably in many capacities in duty and assignment. Among those who served, 180,000 were U.S. Army Soldiers, while another 20,000 were U.S. Navy servicemen.
